Senior Physiotherapist – Trauma Orthopaedics
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-standard physiotherapy for specialist assessment and treatment of trauma orthopaedic patients.
- Assist senior staff in managing, training, and supervising staff.
- Undertake physiotherapy assessment, clinically diagnose, and implement treatment plans, evaluating care for routine and complex patients.
- Advise, assist, and educate staff grade and student physiotherapists in patient management.
- Ensure effective communication with patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in Departmental Planned Out of Hours Working and Emergency On-Call Rota.
- Represent Physiotherapy Service at Multidisciplinary Meetings for coordinated care delivery.
- Attend ward rounds and clinics, assessing, advising, and treating patients.
- Support the MDT in interventions to improve trauma orthopaedic patient outcomes.
Skills and Expertise
- Excellent communication, organizational, supervisory, and leadership skills.
- Proven experience in acute critical care, respiratory, and orthopaedics.
- Experience dealing with trauma orthopaedic patients.
- Respiratory on-call competence.
- Strong patient-centered values, ability to drive positive change, and commitment to integrated MDT working.
