SEN Teaching Assistant
Key Responsibilities
- Work alongside the SENCO in a busy school environment.
- Provide support to pupils with special educational needs.
- Manage information and tasks accurately.
- Maintain high performance levels under pressure.
- Liaise effectively with staff, pupils, parents/carers, and external agencies.
- Deal calmly with matters face-to-face, over the telephone, and via email.
- Prioritise and manage a potentially demanding workload.
Skills and Expertise
- Experience in an educational setting.
- Excellent IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing demands.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to establish positive working relationships.
- Mature, tactful, and discreet approach.
- Understanding of child protection policies (training provided).
Job Facilities/Benefits
- Permanent position (37 hours per week, term time + 1 week inset).
- Salary: 21,322 – 23,454 per annum (24,790 – 27,269 full-time equivalent), based on experience.
