Key Responsibilities
- Meeting the needs of Children and Young People in line with Ofsted regulations
- Planning team rotas to support the Deputy and home manager in various meetings and appointments
- Assisting the Registered Manager and/or the Deputy Manager in implementing the Statement of Purpose
- Carrying out other reasonable tasks as directed by the Registered Manager and/or the Deputy Manager
- Supervising in the absence of the Registered Manager and/or Deputy Manager
- Welcoming a diverse culture in the home
- Creating a safe, family environment for the children
Skills and Expertise
- Experience in Childrens residential care (minimum 6 months)
- Relevant Level 3 qualification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead by example
- Proactive support of colleagues
- Calmness in challenging situations
- Offering advice and a good listening ear
- Unconditional positive regard
- Driving license (essential)
- Adaptability and flexibility
Job Facilities/Benefits
- Basic salary of 13.40 to 14.22 (27,872 to 29,577.60)
- Sleep-in payments: 2800 to 3600 (based on 8-10 sleep ins per month)
- 224 hours paid annual leave, rising to 240 hours after 5 years
