Procurement Manager – Indirect
Key Responsibilities
- Key member of the Procurement department for the Gregory Group, reporting directly to the Director of Fleet & Procurement.
- Manage all indirect spend areas (Agency, IT & Telecoms, Facilities Management, Utilities, Workwear & PPE – circa 50m).
- Develop strategic Category Plans, considering market factors and aligning with business opportunity pipeline for the next 24 months.
- Lead commercial negotiations, drafting legal contracts with supply partners.
- Drive value through sourcing exercises and continuous improvement in supplier management of key strategic relationships.
- Ensure supply partners meet group minimum standards (financial stability, ethics, insurances, ESG).
- Proactively identify, evaluate, and drive procurement options to maximize value for money.
- Provide advice and guidance to internal stakeholders, promoting procurement expertise.
- Collaborate with supply partners to implement initiatives supporting the group’s sustainability agenda.
Skills and Expertise
- Proven experience in a senior procurement role, specializing in indirect spend categories.
- Understanding of commercial contract terms and conditions.
- Strong leadership and influence skills, with experience liaising with senior management.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Desirable: CIPS qualification (or working towards).
Job Facilities/Benefits
- Salary: 45,000 – 50,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
- Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:30hrs – 17:00hrs.
