Health and Social Care Teacher

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach BTEC Level 2 and 3 Health and Social Care
  • Deliver BTEC Applied Psychology
  • Assess student progress regularly
  • Prepare progress reports
  • Provide accurate and timely data and information
  • Maintain student morale and discipline
  • Keep up-to-date with curriculum development and assessment requirements
  • Work effectively within a team to devise and maintain teaching strategies
  • Support extracurricular activities, outreach, and liaison work
  • Participate in the college’s appraisal and performance management process
  • Stay updated in relevant areas of professional expertise
  • Develop and maintain industry/commerce links
  • Attend relevant events
  • Promote the college’s reputation
  • Collaborate on course development
  • Undertake course coordination responsibilities and other duties as required

Skills and Expertise

  • Proven experience in Health and Social Care education
  • Expertise in BTEC Level 2 and 3 Health and Social Care
  • Ability to deliver BTEC Applied Psychology
  • Strong assessment and reporting skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of relevant curriculum development and assessment
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Experience in supporting extracurricular activities
