SSD/EDU Technician
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake decontamination science duties for specialized medical device decontamination.
- Receive, disassemble, clean, reassemble, pack, and sterilize reusable medical devices.
- Record all tasks in the tracking and tracing database.
- Ensure all products meet quality standards and are produced efficiently, adhering to QMS.
- Work as part of a team and perform duties as directed by management.
- Work across decontamination facilities at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and West Middlesex University Hospital as required.
- Reprocess reusable medical devices, following procedures, in a controlled environment.
- Adhere to Departmental Policy, Standard Operating Procedures, and Quality Management System.
- Contribute to maintaining quality assurance and production control systems.
- Inform Decontamination Technician Supervisors of raw material shortages and ensure stock rotation.
- Meet departmental workload demands consistently achieving high quality standards.
- Attend regular departmental team meetings.
- Undertake duties consistent with the grade and needs of the service.
