Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake decontamination science duties for specialized medical device decontamination.
  • Receive, disassemble, clean, reassemble, pack, and sterilize reusable medical devices.
  • Record all tasks in the tracking and tracing database.
  • Ensure all products meet quality standards and are produced efficiently, adhering to QMS.
  • Work as part of a team and perform duties as directed by management.
  • Work across decontamination facilities at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and West Middlesex University Hospital as required.
  • Reprocess reusable medical devices, following procedures, in a controlled environment.
  • Adhere to Departmental Policy, Standard Operating Procedures, and Quality Management System.
  • Contribute to maintaining quality assurance and production control systems.
  • Inform Decontamination Technician Supervisors of raw material shortages and ensure stock rotation.
  • Meet departmental workload demands consistently achieving high quality standards.
  • Attend regular departmental team meetings.
  • Undertake duties consistent with the grade and needs of the service.
