Data Centre Relief Security Officer – Hayes

Key Responsibilities

• Managing access control for buildings and car-parks (employees, visitors, contractors)
• Patrolling buildings, car parks, and grounds to deter and detect problems
• Checking and challenging ID passes professionally and with a friendly approach
• De-activating and activating alarms, unlocking/locking buildings, rooms, external barriers, and gates
• Monitoring fire, security, and building systems, including CCTV
• Identifying and reporting Health & Safety issues and carrying out first aid if necessary
• Responding to customer requests and queries
• Maintaining records, including incident reports (computer and paper-based systems)

Skills and Expertise

• SIA Door Supervision (DS) or Security Guarding (SG) license
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
• Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in security
• Five years’ checkable history and references
• Passing a criminal records check (CRC)
• (Desirable) SIA Public Space Surveillance (PSS) (CCTV) license
• (Desirable) First Aid qualification
• (Desirable) Experience in a similar role
