Lecturer/Assessor – Forklift Truck
Key Responsibilities
- Delivery and development of courses in forklift truck maintenance and repair.
- Planning and using effective teaching and learning techniques.
- Assessment and support of apprentices in their workplaces.
- Sharing knowledge and experience with students.
- Supporting the SMB Group’s automotive provision to improve continuously.
- Meeting the needs and exceeding expectations of customers.
Skills and Expertise
- Knowledge and experience in forklift truck maintenance and repair.
- Ability to deliver engineering skills, knowledge, and related behaviours.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of lift truck technology.
- Experience in using new technologies within the lift truck sector (desired).
- Willingness to obtain relevant teaching qualifications (DTLLS, PGCE or equivalent).
- Experience in a lift truck maintenance and repair setting or preparation/refurbishment centre (desired).
- Experience in teaching (preferred but not essential).
