Senior Support Worker – The Poplars
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a small team of carers in delivering outstanding care to residents.
- Support the Home Manager.
- Plan and implement care that promotes resident security, dignity, and independence.
- Ensure care plans are regularly reviewed through continuous assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Manage time effectively between supporting team and resident well-being.
Skills and Expertise
- Experienced carer or support worker with passion for making a difference.
- Proven ability to lead a team and motivate others.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills for building positive relationships with residents and colleagues.
- NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care.
- Previous experience in a residential care setting.
- Supervisory experience (delegating, supporting inductions, 1:1s) – desirable but not essential.
- Initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Confident and positive role model.
