Health and Social Care Teacher
Key Responsibilities
- Teach BTEC Level 2 and 3 Health and Social Care
- Deliver BTEC Applied Psychology
- Assess student progress regularly
- Prepare progress reports
- Provide accurate and timely data and information
- Maintain student morale and discipline
- Keep up-to-date with curriculum development and assessment requirements
- Work effectively within a team to devise and maintain teaching strategies
- Support extracurricular activities, outreach, and liaison work
- Participate in the college’s appraisal and performance management process
- Stay updated in relevant areas of professional expertise
- Develop and maintain industry/commerce links
- Attend relevant events
- Promote the college’s reputation
- Collaborate on course development
- Undertake course coordination responsibilities and other duties as required
Skills and Expertise
- Proven experience in Health and Social Care education
- Expertise in BTEC Level 2 and 3 Health and Social Care
- Ability to deliver BTEC Applied Psychology
- Strong assessment and reporting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of relevant curriculum development and assessment
- Teamwork and collaboration skills
- Experience in supporting extracurricular activities
