Life Sciences Key Account Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage relationships with Life Sciences companies and NIHR stakeholders.
  • Attract and grow clinical research delivery in the UK.
  • Work closely with RDN Industry facing teams for consistent service.
  • Provide tailored service to key accounts as a single conduit.
  • Promote RDN services and communicate key themes/opportunities.
  • Explore opportunities and enable access to NIHR infrastructure with other industry facing teams, External Affairs, Strategic Partnerships, and the Department of Business and Trade.
  • Manage budget and resources for the RRDN Life Science Key Account service.
  • Understand the Study Support Service offer, impact case studies, and innovations to optimize study delivery (e.g., Be Part of Research, Join Dementia Research).
  • Understand the National Contract Value Review principles and their impact on regional delivery.
  • Provide personalized service to key accounts, ensuring visibility of key themes and opportunities.
  • Act as an ambassador for the RDN and advocate for managed key accounts.
  • Lead and support development of Key Performance Indicators for the RRDN Life Science Key Account Management.
  • Identify, establish, and maintain working relationships with stakeholders (e.g., Health and Care Delivery Organisations, Life Science Partners, CROs).
  • Ensure effective governance arrangements for risk mitigation and a culture of continuous service review, transformation, and evaluation.
  • Provide strong, visible, inclusive, and compassionate leadership, ensuring high-quality, safe, and effective services against agreed outcome measures, service level agreements, activity and finance targets.
  • Develop business cases/options papers for the RRDN Leadership team.
