Key Responsibilities

  • Meeting the needs of Children and Young People in line with Ofsted regulations
  • Planning team rotas to support the Deputy and home manager in various meetings and appointments
  • Assisting the Registered Manager and/or the Deputy Manager in implementing the Statement of Purpose
  • Carrying out other reasonable tasks as directed by the Registered Manager and/or the Deputy Manager
  • Supervising in the absence of the Registered Manager and/or Deputy Manager
  • Welcoming a diverse culture in the home
  • Creating a safe, family environment for the children

Skills and Expertise

  • Experience in Childrens residential care (minimum 6 months)
  • Relevant Level 3 qualification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead by example
  • Proactive support of colleagues
  • Calmness in challenging situations
  • Offering advice and a good listening ear
  • Unconditional positive regard
  • Driving license (essential)
  • Adaptability and flexibility

Job Facilities/Benefits

  • Basic salary of 13.40 to 14.22 (27,872 to 29,577.60)
  • Sleep-in payments: 2800 to 3600 (based on 8-10 sleep ins per month)
  • 224 hours paid annual leave, rising to 240 hours after 5 years
