Camile Thai Wok Chef Job description
Camile is the company that is re-inventing the takeaway. We break through the boundary separating takeaways from high end restaurants. We’re on a mission to pull in customers who traditionally do not shop in takeaways, by offering them:

A Camile Wok Chef works in a busy kitchen, with ultimate responsibility for producing excellent quality, consistently cooked food, presented beautifully. Reporting directly to the Kitchen Boss but also to the Unit Manager, the Wok Chef looks after the quality of food , speed of service and coordinates with the rest of the team, especially the packer and kitchen boss.
Typical work activities
The concept of fast food delivery has changed over recent years and no longer just conjures up images of burgers and pizza. Asian Food for home delivery is a growing market.
The Camile Thai Wok Chefs’ responsibilities, include:
Business Activities
Taking ownership of the products being cooked and produced
Ensuring all HACCP & FIFO procedures and policies are followed
Communicating any stock issues with the Kitchen Boss & Unit Manager
Maintaining high levels of cleanliness throughout the kitchen
Maintaining records
Upskilling the team and aiding their progression
Aid in the training of new staff and cross training experienced staff when needed
Housekeeping:
Maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health & safety.
Ensuring critical control points are monitored in line with our HACCP policies & procedures;
Estimating stock usage & checking stock usage
Making sure equipment is maintained and reporting any issues to the Kitchen Boss when needed
Monitor Food preparation and methods
Helping in any area of the restaurant when circumstances dictate.
Maintaining an excellent working relationship with the Kitchen Boss
Requirements:
6 months Wok Chef experience in the Restaurant / Hospitality industry
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong written and oral communication skills (Fluent oral & written English is a must)
The ability to cope under pressure
Strong planning and organizational skills
Problem-solving ability to resolve issues as they arise
