Wellbeing and Activities Assistant

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate residents’ physical, psychological, and social well-being.
  • Understanding the need to promote the philosophy of privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights, and fulfilment for all residents.
  • Identifying resident life history, needs, and preferences by listening to residents and their families to support the development of a detailed life story.
  • Planning and submitting a monthly activity and wellbeing plan and a weekly overview to the Home Manager.
  • Arranging activities, events, and outings, encouraging the involvement of staff, relatives, and visitors.
  • Maintaining a safe living and working environment, contributing to the positive and professional image of the home.

Skills and Expertise

  • Experience working with older people in a residential nursing or Dementia setting.
  • Experience organising activities and events.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Positive attitude toward older people and a commitment to providing stimulating, quality activities and social events.
