Wellbeing and Activities Assistant
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Wellbeing Coordinator in providing activities to engage residents (physical, cognitive, and social well-being).
- Maintain a safe living and working environment and contribute to a positive professional image of the home.
- Report any changes in residents’ physical or emotional conditions to the Wellbeing Coordinator, Home Manager, and care staff.
- Support with ordering and preparing supplies for activities.
- Support establishing links with the local community (schools, spiritual groups, museums/libraries) to encourage intergenerational activity.
Skills and Expertise
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
- Understanding of the role of interaction in general well-being.
- Positive attitude toward older people and a commitment to providing stimulating, quality activities and social events.
- Previous experience working with older people in a residential nursing/Dementia setting.
