Welfare Assistant

Key Responsibilities

  • Working with children to meet their welfare needs
  • Establishing positive relationships with children
  • Supervising and interacting with children
  • Managing children’s behaviour positively
  • Understanding first aid, health and safety, and safeguarding issues

Skills and Expertise

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluency in English, ideally with a community language
  • Experience working with children
  • Understanding of safeguarding
  • Proven ability to supervise and manage children’s behavior

  • Hours: 23.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday

  • Holiday: equivalent of 24 days holiday + bank holidays per annum
  • Pension: 20.6% employers contribution
