Transport Planner – Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM)
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering modelling and appraisal for major transport schemes.
- Contributing to the development of detailed network management strategies.
- Mitigating the impact of new development proposals.
- Developing and contributing to corporate responses to planning applications.
- Supporting the delivery of the GM Clean Air Plan, CRSTS, and Levelling up fund.
Skills and Expertise
- Graduate level education and strong numeracy skills.
- Analysis and interpretation of complex datasets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of transport planning methods and techniques.
- Experience with general-purpose programming languages (e.g., Python, VB) is advantageous.
- Experience in Highway model development, forecasting, and appraisal.
