Transfer Station Supervisor
Key Responsibilities
- Safe, efficient, and compliant supervision of the Transfer Station.
- Ensuring contractual off-take arrangements are met, and material is dispatched according to waste flow requirements and environmental permit.
- Adequate staffing of the Transfer Station to maintain capacity for all material streams, ensuring availability for waste deposit during operating hours.
- Monthly data analysis reporting, duty stock load reporting, and creation of beneficial reports for Disposal Managers.
- Effective communication with team members and conducting 1-2-1 reviews for staff development.
- Covering operative duties during busy periods or staff shortages.
Skills and Expertise
- Full UK driving licence
- COTC / CMS (Certificate of Technical Competence) for non-hazardous waste treatment and transfer (Desirable or to be obtained within 6 months)
- Health and Safety knowledge and experience
- Waste management industry experience in a supervisory role, with experience in treatment processes
- IT literacy
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Ability to influence and persuade different levels of personnel
- Numerate and analytical skills
Job Facilities/Benefits
- 36,000.00 per annum plus annual bonus
