Trainee Ground Worker (Self Employed)

We are hiring on behalf of a family run Groundworks company based in the
Northeast with over 30 years’ experience in domestic and new builds.
Due to business growth, we are on the lookout for trainees looking to kickstart a
career as a self-employed groundworker for multiple projects across Northeast.
We are looking for individuals with a strong worth ethic and determination for
career progression, no experience necessary as all training will be provided.
As this role is self-employed, you will be guided throughout the course by industry
experts and our tutors to support you with the CIS registration process to be set
up as self-employed.

Duties Include –
This CIS role is perfect for inexperienced individuals looking to start their career in
Groundworks. Duties of a Trainee Groundworker includes:
• Clearing a construction site before work begins
• Removing site vegetation and planting new vegetation
• Sorting and laying site drainage
• Laying site foundations and footpaths
• Constructing driveways
• Attending to concrete and curb laying
• Setting up and taking down the construction site before and after a project
• Operating plant machinery for excavation
• Adding the finishing touches to any ground surfaces

Pay
21+, £12 Ph, 19 – 20 year old, £9 Ph
