Technical Lead – Traffic & Flood Risk Management
Key Responsibilities
- Support Head of Service and Service Manager in leading and managing a multi-discipline team.
- Manage, develop, and deliver highway management duties and policies.
- Provide expertise and management of Moving Traffic Enforcement Systems (MTES).
- Utilize advanced IT for infrastructure and technology in MTES delivery.
- Effectively line manage senior and technical officers.
- Support use of Highway Systems within the Service Area.
- Develop and implement policies and strategies.
- Provide performance and financial reports for senior management.
- Ensure effective, efficient, and high-quality operation of Highways technical infrastructure.
- Utilize all resources within allocated budget for excellent service delivery.
- Provide specialist expertise and knowledge on ANPR traffic enforcement.
- Train and supervise colleagues.
- Work with other areas to ensure seamless system operation.
- Give technical and professional advice to the Authority and Partners.
- Contribute to setting and monitoring service performance.
- Undertake procurement for projects.
- Prepare contract documentation for tendering.
- Deliver highway projects and traffic schemes.
- Comply with departmental and service protocols and procedures.
- Consider and anticipate impact of new legislation/policies.
