Team Leader Support Worker – Surrey

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing care for people with severe learning disabilities, Autism, and challenging behaviours.
  • Supporting and encouraging service users to lead full and valued lives, enabling independence.
  • Working alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide care and support people through their care pathway.
  • Using excellent communication skills to effectively explain yourself and understand others.
  • Dealing with challenging behaviours with a positive attitude, compassion, resilience, and vigilance.
  • Helping residents with personal hygiene.
  • Working 37.5 hours per week, including weekends and nights, 12.5 hours per day.

Skills and Expertise

  • Experience caring for people with learning disabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong empathy and a caring nature.
  • Good sense of humour.
  • Resilience and vigilance.
  • Experience as a Team Leader with a background in Learning Disability and Autism.
  • NVQ 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards).
  • Valid UK driving licence (preferred).
  • Reliable, flexible, hard-working, and honest.
  • Local or within commutable distance.
