Team Leader Support Worker – Surrey
Key Responsibilities
- Providing care for people with severe learning disabilities, Autism, and challenging behaviours.
- Supporting and encouraging service users to lead full and valued lives, enabling independence.
- Working alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide care and support people through their care pathway.
- Using excellent communication skills to effectively explain yourself and understand others.
- Dealing with challenging behaviours with a positive attitude, compassion, resilience, and vigilance.
- Helping residents with personal hygiene.
- Working 37.5 hours per week, including weekends and nights, 12.5 hours per day.
Skills and Expertise
- Experience caring for people with learning disabilities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong empathy and a caring nature.
- Good sense of humour.
- Resilience and vigilance.
- Experience as a Team Leader with a background in Learning Disability and Autism.
- NVQ 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards).
- Valid UK driving licence (preferred).
- Reliable, flexible, hard-working, and honest.
- Local or within commutable distance.
