At the Stockton Sixth Form College site, we are seeking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support with the smooth running of a dedicated faculty offering provision for secondary students (11-16) with Social, Emotional & Mental Health Needs (SEMH), who:
• Can support teaching staff in the delivery of the national curriculum and contribute to the development of other support staff and students.
• Demonstrate an understanding of and empathy for learning difficulties and disabilities and have emotional resilience to work with challenging students
• Has experience of liaising with outside agencies, such as the Local Authority
• Holds a level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent
This role could be combined with the 0.5 Teacher vacancy.
Start Date: January 2025
Salary and Benefits Information
Salary: SFCA Support Staff Pay Spine 14 – 17 (£28,593 – £31,342 per annum)
Actual Starting Salary at Scale Point 14 is £13,219.90 per annum (pay award pending)
