Teaching Assistant

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a genuine interest in children and interact with them professionally
  • Show a strong passion for addressing the needs of all children, including those with additional needs and SEN
  • Work with small groups or individuals to deliver adapted learning activities and interventions that enhance understanding and achievement
  • Support the class teacher in fostering active participation from children in both academic and social school activities
  • Commit to enhancing achievement standards for all pupils
  • Engage fully with school life, including parents and the wider community

Skills and Expertise

  • Relevant Level 3 qualification in Teaching Assistance or a related field
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably in a primary school environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills
  • Eager to engage fully with school life, including parents and the wider community
