Key Responsibilities

  • Working as a Teacher Intern alongside an experienced Teacher.
  • Successful completion of the intern year (2025-26) and gaining a place on the Postgraduate Apprenticeship route.
  • Working as an Apprentice Teacher from July 2026 until July 2027 to gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Gaining further experience as a Teaching Assistant, if appropriate.

Skills and Expertise

  • Relevant experience of working with children and young people with special educational needs.
  • Commitment to training to teach within a specialist environment.
