Support Worker – Ealing

Key Responsibilities

  • Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers
  • Working proactively with other team members to manage service caseload and administrative responsibilities
  • Supporting key customers to set personalized goals in a Support Plan
  • Conducting regular, innovative, and engaging key work sessions to achieve Support Plan goals
  • Ensuring ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with customers with a positive risk-taking attitude
  • Proactively managing risk and safety in and outside of customers’ living environments
  • Providing support with daily living activities, including practical assistance where needed
  • Developing links with local statutory and voluntary organisations
  • Involving customers in service design, development, and delivery
  • Empowering customers to access services and benefits
  • Encouraging tenants to manage rent accounts
  • Ensuring Look Ahead Health and Safety policies are adhered to
  • Adhering to all Look Ahead policies and procedures
  • Engaging in learning and development activities
  • Day-to-day instruction and supervision of Assistant Support Workers, domestic staff, or Personal Support Assistants where appropriate
  • Undertaking any other duties as assigned by the Team Leader/Manager

Skills and Expertise

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, or willingness to work towards an NVQ
  • 1 year experience working with young people
  • Experience working in Ofsted-regulated services (Desirable)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Calm, resilient, and practical mindset
  • Well-organized and flexible
