Support Worker – Dorset
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting children with learning disabilities, autism, ADHD, and related needs with daily tasks to increase confidence and everyday skills.
- Supporting children to have fun and engage in learning.
- Assisting with cooking, cleaning, and other daily tasks, tailored to individual needs.
- Taking advantage of local amenities and outings, such as shopping, cinema visits, and activities based on children’s interests.
Skills and Expertise
- Minimum of 6 months experience as a Support Worker.
- Experience working with children (desirable, but not essential).
- Excellent communication, patience, and understanding.
- Strong sense of humour.
- Enthusiastic, compassionate, and motivated.
- Flexible and adaptable.
- Full manual driving licence (essential due to service needs).
Job Facilities/Benefits
- 12.10 per hour plus sleep-in allowance.
- Full-time (42 hours per week) with day shifts and occasional sleep-ins.
