Sous Chef – Renfrewshire

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Chef Manager in running and developing the team, including training and health and safety.
  • Develop new menu ideas and improve existing offerings.
  • Maintain consistently high food quality.
  • Motivate and lead chef team to high performance standards.
  • Oversee stock levels and make key decisions about stock control.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety and health and safety procedures.

Skills and Expertise

  • Proven experience as a Commis Chef or similar role.
  • Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
