Key Responsibilities

  • Own the operational strategy and end-to-end high-level business design for projects, programmes, or initiatives.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify investment priorities, define opportunities, and shape initiatives to meet strategic goals.
  • Shape the future of the business and operations, gaining exposure across the bank.
  • Engage with relevant stakeholders as a single point of contact for strategy and design aspects.
  • Represent the strategy and design function at governance forums.
  • Work with cross-business stakeholders to ensure standards and principles are adhered to.
  • Analyse requirements into coherent end-to-end designs, considering business strategy and architecture.
  • Help shape strategic priorities for Ops CoE.
  • Translate requirements into transition state designs and an executable roadmap.
  • Drive and deliver cost-effective designs for the business and align solutions with business or IT architecture.
  • Document relevant design using standard methods.
  • Ensure solution design aligns with Ops CoE strategic direction and portfolio target state.

Skills and Expertise

  • Background in strategy, transformation, and solution design.
  • Significant experience using industry standard models and tools.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate with internal and external teams.
  • Knowledge of operations and relevant tools and capabilities.
  • Knowledge of the technical domain and key elements.
  • Broad understanding of the financial services environment and regulatory frameworks.
  • Expert understanding of external influences and advances impacting design.
