Service Support Officer
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out administrative functions, adhering to Departmental policies and procedures, and Government Department requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the legal framework, including Government guidelines and statistical returns, related to the service.
- Provide information and guidance on processes and procedures to Social Work Practitioners and Managers.
- Update complex information systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records for statutory returns and local datasets.
- Collate, prepare, and provide information reports for practitioners and managers using Business Objects and Excel.
Skills and Expertise
- Knowledge of Children’s Services department operations.
- Strong interpersonal skills for dealing with diverse individuals in various settings (reception, phone).
- Understanding of quality customer care principles.
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
- Awareness of diversity principles in the workplace.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety in an office environment.
- Strong confidentiality skills.
- Extensive administrative experience, including data input and retrieval.
- Experience in compiling and maintaining records and administrative systems.
- Experience in data cleansing and producing statistical information.
