Service Supervisor – Queen Margaret University
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, and supervise catering team (servers, chefs, support personnel).
- Set clear expectations and provide ongoing feedback to maintain high performance.
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and service standards to meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Address and resolve issues/concerns promptly for customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate delivery, setup, and breakdown of catering equipment and supplies.
- Oversee event flow (food service, beverage, guest interactions).
- Manage inventory and order supplies to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Foster positive relationships with clients and guests.
- Handle customer inquiries, requests, and special dietary requirements professionally.
- Solicit feedback to continuously improve catering services.
Skills and Expertise
- Previous service supervision experience.
- Passion for food and customer service.
- Experience in supervising, training, and supporting teams.
- Strong delegation and influencing skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Ability to adapt to challenges with a solution-oriented perspective.
