Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Lead and motivate the kitchen team, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.
- Develop and create new menus and seasonal dishes, showcasing your culinary expertise.
- Maintain food safety and hygiene standards in accordance with regulations.
- Oversee stock control and ordering, minimizing waste while maximizing quality.
- Train and mentor junior chefs, helping to develop their skills and career progression.
Skills and Expertise
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-quality kitchen.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
- Passion for food and a keen eye for detail in presentation and flavour.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of current food trends and techniques.
