Key Responsibilities

• Undertake a wide range of work in the Ultrasound Department (Abdominal, Pelvis, KUB, Gynaecological, testes) to the required standard, supervising and mentoring junior staff.
• Independently conduct general ultrasound sessions, generating comprehensive and accurate computerised reports.
• Perform various diagnostic ultrasound examinations, adhering to high professional standards.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality patient-focused professional service.
• Adapt scanning techniques for each patient’s individual needs.
• Analyse clinical information to select appropriate scanning methods and techniques.
• Positively identify all patients with a 3-point check prior to the examination.
• Select appropriate equipment, including ultrasound transducers and techniques, to provide necessary diagnostic information.
• Communicate urgent findings promptly and direct patients accordingly.

Skills and Expertise

• Ultrasound specialist in DOPPLER ultrasound of body
• Expertise in Doppler of DVT / arterial dipper of both upper and lower limbs
