Senior Residential Care Assistant
Key Responsibilities
- Looking after the different needs of residents to enable quality, person-centred care and support.
- Leading a team of care staff, including training, supervisions, and delegating duties on shift.
- Administering and ordering medication, reviewing and updating resident care plans and risk assessments.
- Liaising with GP’s, district nursing teams, and resident family members.
- Respecting the dignity and preferences of residents and creating a warm, welcoming, and vibrant environment.
Skills and Expertise
- NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care
- Previous experience in a residential care setting
- Proven team leadership skills
- Ability to make appropriate decisions to support the needs and wellbeing of residents
- Warm-hearted, compassionate, and committed to individualised care and support
