Residential Senior Carer

Key Responsibilities

  • Looking after resident needs for quality person-centred care and support.
  • Leading a team of care staff, including training, supervision, and delegating duties.
  • Supporting with medication administration and ordering.
  • Reviewing and updating resident care plans and risk assessments.
  • Liaising with GPs, district nursing teams, and resident families.
  • Respecting resident dignity and preferences.
  • Creating a warm, welcoming, and vibrant environment.

Skills and Expertise

  • NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.
  • Previous experience in a residential care setting.
  • Proven team leadership skills.
  • Ability to make appropriate decisions to support resident needs and wellbeing.
  • Warm-hearted, compassionate, and committed to individualised care.
