Senior Podiatrist – East Suffolk and North Essex
Key Responsibilities
- Working across community clinics.
- Attending the Diabetic Foot MDT clinic in Colchester Hospital.
- Providing general NHS podiatry services, including biomechanics, diabetic podiatry, and working in the MDT diabetic foot clinic.
- Supporting people of all ages with a variety of conditions.
- Taking referrals and utilizing self-referral portals for patient management.
- Encouraging patient self-management and education.
Skills and Expertise
- Diabetic foot disease expertise.
- Diabetic foot MDT clinic experience (preferred).
- Experience in community-based care.
- Proficiency in using x-rays, ultrasound, ABPI, toe pressures, and blood requests.
- Knowledge of community casting and PGDs.
- IRMER, ABPI, casting, and PGDs training (potentially provided).
- Diabetic foot course completion (potentially provided).
- Knowledge in biomechanics, diabetes, and paediatric clinics.
- Working relationship with orthotics services.
