Senior Oncology Pharmacist – Maidstone
Key Responsibilities
- Prescribe, dispense, and administer electronic prescriptions for anticancer medication, following departmental and trust guidelines.
- Coordinate daily electronic chemotherapy services for day cases and outpatients.
- Coordinate the daily provision of the Oral Chemotherapy Service.
- Collaborate as an integral part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team to strengthen pharmacy links.
- Support and collaborate with the aseptic team for safe and prompt preparation and release of aseptic products (cytotoxic and monoclonal).
Skills and Expertise
- Postgraduate training in clinical pharmacy or relevant experience in hospital Oncology/Haematology is desirable.
- Experience with clinical trials, commissioning, finance, and e-prescribing.
- Technical knowledge of product approval and final release of cancer treatments.
- High-quality patient care and service experience.
- Ability to work in a rotational capacity.
- Experience with solid tumour, haemato-oncology, and a wide range of cancer patients.
- Ability to influence and strengthen pharmacy links.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
