Senior Oncology Pharmacist – Maidstone

Key Responsibilities

  • Prescribe, dispense, and administer electronic prescriptions for anticancer medication, following departmental and trust guidelines.
  • Coordinate daily electronic chemotherapy services for day cases and outpatients.
  • Coordinate the daily provision of the Oral Chemotherapy Service.
  • Collaborate as an integral part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team to strengthen pharmacy links.
  • Support and collaborate with the aseptic team for safe and prompt preparation and release of aseptic products (cytotoxic and monoclonal).

Skills and Expertise

  • Postgraduate training in clinical pharmacy or relevant experience in hospital Oncology/Haematology is desirable.
  • Experience with clinical trials, commissioning, finance, and e-prescribing.
  • Technical knowledge of product approval and final release of cancer treatments.
  • High-quality patient care and service experience.
  • Ability to work in a rotational capacity.
  • Experience with solid tumour, haemato-oncology, and a wide range of cancer patients.
  • Ability to influence and strengthen pharmacy links.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
