Senior Planner – Electrical Services

Key Responsibilities

  • Assimilate information and summarise it for communication of work scope.
  • Prepare resourced programme, reviewing outcome for conformance.
  • Undertake programme risk analysis.
  • Prepare visual material to support planned methods.
  • Prepare resource schedules for review.
  • Manage project documentation.
  • Carry out other relevant duties as required.
  • Contribute to coaching, supporting and formal training of others.
  • Communicate planning community information between parties.
  • Draw up bid preparation programme and contribute to tender queries database.
  • Define methods and establish competitive outputs, consulting with estimator and team.
  • Cooperate with design engineer to establish design brief for temporary works.
  • Provide estimator with justified schedule of temporary works and indirect cost items.
  • Contribute required written submission material.
  • Attend bid review meeting to contribute work scope and delivery intentions.
  • Attend handover meeting to contribute work scope and delivery intentions and accept further defined tasks.
  • Advise project team of required feedback reports and support.

Skills and Expertise

  • Extensive experience of civil engineering contracting at Agent level (preferred).
  • NEC experience (preferred).
  • Experience on a similar project (preferred).
  • Planning software proficiency (P6, ASTA, TILOS, QSRA).
  • Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Microsoft Project.
  • Active experience with a wide range of planning techniques for tendering and contract delivery.
  • Understanding of commercial and contractual interfaces with the planning function.
  • Ability to drive and travel when needed.
  • MEP/M&E experience beneficial but not essential.
