Senior Electrical Engineer – Greater Manchester
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and reviewing electrical engineering designs for water treatment equipment on client site.
- Working with Motor Control Centres, LV distribution systems, Cabling, Instrumentation, Industrial Networks, PLCs and SCADA. Systems will be both new latest technology and existing legacy installations.
- Producing and reviewing technical specifications and schedules for procurement activities, reviewing supplier tender bids and technical submissions.
- Supervising and mentoring Graduates and Engineers, assisting them to develop their knowledge and skills.
- Understanding, applying and contributing to design standards with a good knowledge of Client and WIMES standards.
- Positively engaging with the client, building relationships and supporting them to achieve their aims.
Skills and Expertise
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Chartered or incorporated member of professional institution (e.g. ICE, IMechE, etc), or equivalent experience
- Experience of successfully delivering high-quality outputs in accordance with design, quality and safety standards
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
- Methodical approach to problem-solving
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across operational region
