Senior EICA Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Leading interfaces and integration of electrical & ICA design with other disciplines.
- Writing technical specifications, control philosophies, schedules, reports, and risk assessments.
- Producing Single Line Diagrams, Block Cable Diagrams, and Network Infrastructure Diagrams.
- Providing engineering input to collaborative design outputs (e.g., General Arrangement Drawings, 3D models, Pipeline & Instrumentation Diagrams).
- Participating in collaborative design discussions, including technical workshops, HAZOPs, and ALMs.
- Liaising with Distribution Network Operators.
- Attending Factory Acceptance Tests.
- Providing quality assurance of others’ work through check/review functions.
- Supporting the development of the electrical engineering team, coaching and mentoring junior engineers, and identifying appropriate resources for projects.
- Challenging client specifications and presenting/defending solutions to complex problems.
Skills and Expertise
- Degree qualified Electrical Engineer (preferably Chartered or Incorporated with the IET).
- Experience in wastewater non-infrastructure and infrastructure design.
- Commercial and contractual awareness, with understanding of programmes to deliver on time and within budget.
- Understanding of procurement and construction, with experience in delivering safe, efficient, innovative, and sustainable solutions.
- Experience/knowledge of HV design (advantageous).
