Interim Senior Communications Officer
Key Responsibilities
- Working with One SAP Workstream leads to understand strategic outcomes and translate into communications plans.
- Deliver integrated communications/campaign plans supporting programme objectives.
- Provide constructive challenge to recommend optimal communications tools and channels.
- Develop and deliver engaging content (photography, audio, video, online material) and evaluate effectiveness.
- Create and manage OneHub website (SharePoint) and collaborate with other comms colleagues.
- Act as a mentor to team members, fostering skills development in communications disciplines.
Skills and Expertise
- Minimum 12 months experience in a similar role, ideally within a public sector organisation.
- Proven track record in leading successful campaigns and communications projects (digital, media, marketing, internal communications).
- Experience finding positive solutions to complex stakeholder communications challenges.
- Experience working in a political environment, including briefing elected members.
- Experience in mentoring/supervising staff.
- Proven experience preparing and presenting sensitive information to the public.
- Skills in writing web content for accessibility and SEO.
- Ability to lead corporate projects.
- Proficiency in core IT systems/processes (web editing, social media platforms, basic video/image editing).
- Comms experience on ERP/SAP implementations.
