Night Senior Care Assistant
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and implementing care plans that prioritize resident security, dignity, and independence.
- Getting to know residents and their families to ensure personalized care.
- Leading a team of Care Assistants and maintaining high care standards.
- Assisting the Registered Nurse and Care Manager with physical and mental stimulation, social activities, and medication administration.
- Maintaining accurate records and building strong relationships with the team.
- Recognizing signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and knowing the appropriate reporting procedures.
- Attending safeguarding training and undertaking additional associated training.
- Seeking appropriate advice and escalating concerns if necessary.
Skills and Expertise
- Level 2 Diploma S/NVQ in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
- Experience in person-centered care planning
- Knowledge of caring for people with dementia
- Excellent positive energy and ability to connect with people
- Strong record-keeping skills
- Effective time management
- Considerate and kind communication skills
