Senior Care Assistant – Lincolnshire
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and implementing care plans to ensure resident security, dignity, and independence.
- Leading a team of Care Assistants and maintaining high care standards.
- Assisting residents with daily tasks, including feeding, mobility, and social activities.
- Assisting Registered Nurses and Care Managers with care provision and medication administration.
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided.
- Building strong relationships with residents and their families.
- Managing emergencies.
Skills and Expertise
- Level 3 in Health and Social care (preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to complete paperwork accurately (accident forms, handovers)
- Confident interaction with doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals
- Competent in medication administration using Emed system
- Experience with moving and handling equipment (slide sheets)
- At least 6 months experience as a senior carer in dementia care homes
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and recognition of potential abuse, harm, or neglect
