Key Responsibilities

• Supporting and assisting the daily needs of SEND pupils, ensuring a comfortable and enabling learning environment.
• Guarantee input is given allowing contribution to individual learning plans.
• Liaising with outside professionals to ensure each child is receiving what is required for their individual learning journey.
• Regular progress monitoring and recording of SEND pupils.

Skills and Expertise

• Experience working with SEND pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis.
• Understanding of individual needs, avoiding a one-size-fits-all approach.
• Reliability and consistency.
• Ideally PECS and/or Makaton trained (training offered).
• NVQ 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
