SEN Tutor – Greater Manchester

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing 1-1 tuition to young people (aged 4-19) not in education.
  • Supporting students with a range of needs, including SEND (Autism, learning difficulties), Children in Care, School Refusers, SEMH (anxiety, severe mental health needs), Asylum Seekers, and excluded pupils.
  • Providing support in English, Maths, and Life Skills.
  • Preparing and planning lessons and resources.
  • Travelling between student locations as required.

Skills and Expertise

  • Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent qualification, or experienced tutor.
  • Confident lesson planning and resource preparation skills.
  • Resilience and patience.
  • Compassion and understanding of diverse family backgrounds and needs.
