SEN Teaching Assistant – Kensington & Chelsea
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting children with special educational needs (SEN).
- Working with children aged 4-19 with complex needs.
- Providing care and education to non-verbal and sensory-impaired children.
- Flexibility, proactive approach, and patience are essential.
- Effective communication and teamwork.

- Potential for personal care provision.
- Openness to professional development including training in TEACCH, PECS, Attention Autism, Makaton, and Intensive Interaction.
Skills and Expertise
- Experience with SEN children (preferred, but not required).
- Experience in education, care, psychology, or drama.
- Non-verbal communication skills (e.g., Makaton, PECS) are preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team setting.
- Commitment to the well-being and growth of children with diverse needs.
Job Facilities/Benefits
- Competitive pay: 88 – 110 per day (depending on experience).
- Paid through PAYE.
- Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 3.30pm.
