SEMH Specialist Teacher
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a high-quality, personalised curriculum to support a small group (6-8) of children with individual needs.
- Help pioneer and bring about change to provide an enhanced provision for children with additional needs.
- Ensure children with SEMH support can access a broad and balanced curriculum.
- Use trauma-informed and relational approaches.
- Teach innovatively, reflectively, and collaboratively within cross-Trust teams.
- Deliver high-quality lessons and projects blending physical and digital learning environments.
- Support in planning and assessment.
- Showcase excellent practice and be part of a wider network of professional development opportunities.
Skills and Expertise
- Experience supporting children with SEMH needs.
- Experience in teaching (highly desirable).
- Understanding of trauma-informed and relational approaches (essential).
- Strong classroom management skills (highly desirable).
- Knowledge of the DfE curriculum.
- Proven ability to support a small group of children.
- Digital literacy (essential).
