Residential Home Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Uphold the Home’s Mission and Values: Maintain and promote the home’s values as outlined in its Statement of Purpose. This includes coaching, supporting, and developing a high-performing team through regular supervision and guidance.
  • Staff Management and Development: Identify staffing needs, oversee recruitment, and facilitate the training and development of team members to meet service standards effectively. Conduct regular supervisions, team meetings, and probation reviews, and handle staff concerns or investigations as necessary.
  • Collaborative Working: Work closely with other departments and external agencies to achieve positive outcomes for the young people. This includes implementing tailored plans and support systems to assist in their rehabilitation and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Budget Management: Assist in preparing budgets and manage financial resources efficiently within agreed parameters.

Skills and Expertise

  • Proven experience managing residential care settings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of child development and social work principles.
