Head of Religious Studies
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a vibrant Religious Studies curriculum that inspires curiosity, critical thinking, and interfaith understanding.
- Foster an inclusive learning environment that encourages respectful dialogue and exploration of global faith traditions.
- Ensure high academic standards, innovative teaching methods, and meaningful assessment strategies.
Skills and Expertise
- Proven experience as a dynamic and effective educator, with leadership or department management experience preferred (but not essential).
- Relevant teaching qualifications.
- Deep knowledge of religious studies.
- Exceptional leadership skills.
- Commitment to nurturing inclusive, meaningful dialogue.
- Proven ability to inspire both students and staff.
- Willingness to teach and lead GCSE sociology alongside RS (desirable)
