Receptionist
Key Responsibilities
- Familiarity with daily hotel operations, including arrivals, departures, and special requests.
- Handling guest arrivals and departures efficiently and courteously, adhering to company check-in/check-out procedures.
- Understanding guest needs during check-in and check-out.
- Managing cash, charge, float, and till procedures according to company policy.
- Possessing working knowledge of hotel services, facilities, and the local area to assist guests effectively.
- Keeping the team informed by participating in daily meetings.
- Maximizing sales through upselling using incentives and promotions.
- Promptly and efficiently addressing customer inquiries and booking requests.
- Resolving customer complaints promptly and professionally.
- Operating the telephone system proficiently in accordance with company standards.
Skills and Expertise
- Previous experience in a hotel or customer-related role.
- Strong customer service skills, adherence to standards, and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in phone and PMS systems (preferably Rexlynx; training provided).
- Ability to make decisions effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills with guests and colleagues.
