Project Support Officer
Key Responsibilities
- Support and advise ministers in shaping and delivering policy.
- Set direction by anticipating the future and leading the debate on global and domestic health.
- Ensure accountability for department and arms length bodies in delivering agreed plans and commitments.
- Act as guardians of the health and care framework, ensuring legislative, financial, administrative, and policy frameworks are fit for purpose.
- Resolve crucial and complex issues as a troubleshooter.
- Support Ministers in delivering Governments health and care priorities, including manifesto commitments.
- Protect public health through health and social care system’s response to COVID-19.
- Improve healthcare outcomes through high-quality and sustainable care, infrastructure, and technology.
- Improve healthcare outcomes through a well-supported workforce.
- Level up the nations health, including reducing health disparities.
- Improve social care outcomes through an affordable, high-quality, and sustainable adult social care system.
- Oversee and monitor capital infrastructure programmes to improve NHS services and facilities.
- Manage NHS Elective Care backlog.
- Engage with stakeholders.
- Analyse data and manage information.
- Conduct post-project evaluation and benefit management.
- Develop dashboard reporting.

- Experience working in a complex programme or project environment.
- Strong team player.

- Experience in infrastructure, transformation, and/or capital projects (advantageous, not essential).
